Binance opened spot trading for Hyperliquid's HYPE token on September 24 at 11:00 UTC, listing three pairs and attaching its Seed Tag over volatility risk. The token entered the listing near a $21 billion market capitalization as Hyperliquid keeps leading perpetual DEX volume.
Binance opened HYPE spot trading against USDT, USDC and TRY at 11:00 UTC on September 24, giving Hyperliquid's native token a listing on the world's largest exchange. The exchange set the listing fee at zero BNB and made deposits available one hour after its announcement, while withdrawals are scheduled for September 25 at 11:00 UTC.
Seed Tag brings a recurring risk quiz
Binance attached its Seed Tag to HYPE, the designation it uses for newer, more volatile listings. The exchange said HYPE "will likely be subject to high price volatility" and now requires eligible traders to complete a risk-awareness quiz every 90 days and accept its terms of use. The requirement applies across Binance Spot and Margin where supported.
Access also varies by market and region. The HYPE/TRY pair is restricted to verified Binance TR accounts since TRY represents the Turkish lira rather than a digital asset, and residents of the United States, Canada, the Netherlands, Iran and several other jurisdictions cannot trade the new pairs. Spot Algo Orders go live with the listing, and Binance said Trading Bots and Spot Copy Trading would follow within 24 hours.
HYPE enters listing day near $21 billion
CoinGecko's September 24 data put HYPE's market capitalization at $20.91 billion with roughly $1.13 billion in trading volume, after the token closed September 23 at $93.98, down from $97.19 the day before. The price had climbed rapidly through the prior week, from a $76.92 close on September 15 to $94.05 on September 21.
BeInCrypto, citing TradingView's HYPE/USD market on Coinbase, reported an increase of roughly 1.5% within ten minutes of the listing notice, briefly approaching 1.9%, though the figures describe only a short intraday reaction and do not establish that the announcement caused the move.
Hyperliquid still leads perpetual DEX volume
The listing lands as Hyperliquid keeps its position atop decentralized derivatives trading. DeFiLlama data ranks Hyperliquid first among perpetual DEXs by 24-hour normalized volume at approximately $7.42 billion, ahead of Aster's $2.08 billion and Lighter's $1.93 billion, with open interest near $9.06 billion. The protocol also generated $429.04 million in revenue from January 1 through September 15, a figure that represented 12.62% of CoinGecko's adjusted 2026 comparison pool.
