Binance will suspend deposits and withdrawals on the Ethereum network for wallet maintenance on October 28. The exchange will also remove 10 margin trading and 12 spot trading pairs on October 30.
Binance will perform wallet maintenance on the ETH network on October 28, and deposits and withdrawals on that blockchain will be temporarily unavailable. The work is scheduled to take about one hour, after which operations will resume.
The exchange says token trading on the network will not be affected. Deposits and withdrawals will reopen once the upgraded network is deemed to be stable, and Binance will post no further announcement.
Similar maintenance earlier this year
Binance has performed many similar wallet maintenance events this year, with no reports of issues or user complaints. In August, it temporarily paused transfers on the Ethereum network. Before that, it briefly suspended TRX deposits and withdrawals.
Binance to delist 10 margin and 12 spot pairs
Separately, Binance revealed that it will start delisting 10 margin trading pairs and 12 spot trading pairs on October 30. The spot pairs are AAVE/BTC, ATOM/BTC, CAKE/BTC, DASH/BTC, ETC/BTC, ICP/BTC, PENDLE/BTC, RENDER/BTC, TAO/BTC, THETA/BTC, XAUT/BTC and XTZ/BTC.
The decision follows a check of all listed pairs on the platform. The exchange regularly checks whether pairs meet certain standards, such as adequate liquidity and trading volume.
