Bitget will restart withdrawals in stages beginning September 28, with Bitcoin first and full services back by October 2. The exchange says the pause is a security precaution and that user balances remain unaffected.
Bitget will resume Bitcoin withdrawals at 08:00 UTC on September 28, the first step in a phased return of services following a security incident on September 24. The exchange says it has identified and fixed the vulnerability tied to the incident, and its security and technical teams are now running additional checks across withdrawal systems before each phase goes live.
Bitcoin Withdrawals Return First, Other Assets Follow in Stages
ETH withdrawals are scheduled to resume at 08:00 UTC on September 29 across Ethereum, BSC, Arbitrum, Base, and Optimism, while USDT withdrawals follow at 08:00 UTC on September 30 through Ethereum, BSC, Solana, and Tron. Remaining tokens, along with fiat withdrawals and P2P services, are set to return at 08:00 UTC on October 2.
Bitget says the phased schedule will apply consistently across users, without preferential access. Its stated goal is to restore withdrawals across all supported assets and networks as quickly and safely as possible.
Exchange Says User Balances Remain Unaffected
According to Bitget, the withdrawal pause is a security measure rather than a sign of trouble with customer asset availability. User account balances remain unaffected, and the company's Protection Fund will cover the financial impact of the incident.
Trading and deposits have continued operating throughout the pause, and users do not need to take any action before withdrawals return. Bitget also stated that the incident remains contained and that no further unauthorized transfers are possible.
CEO Gracy Chen will host a live AMA at 07:30 UTC on September 28, shortly before Bitcoin withdrawals are scheduled to resume. Full withdrawal access is expected to return gradually through October 2, subject to the exchange's ongoing security checks.
