Bank of America named Nvidia among six likely beneficiaries of continued AI infrastructure spending, alongside Intel, Marvell Technology, Micron, Lam Research and Synopsys. The call came as the group fell sharply on Thursday.

BofA ties open-weight models to hardware demand
BofA's Vivek Arya said the spread of open-weight AI models should increase demand for computing hardware. Developers can freely access the parameters of these models, but running them still needs substantial processing power.
The bank also expects cloud infrastructure spending to nearly double from about $510 billion in 2025 to roughly $1 trillion in 2026. A further 37% rise is possible in 2027.
BofA cited growing token usage as proof that AI workloads keep expanding.
