Hedera's HBAR token jumped as much as 30% on Sep. 28, breaking above $0.12 with its daily RSI near 81, as a post tied Hedera Council members to NVIDIA's Open Agent Safety Platform drew fresh attention. The move builds on a 29.8% 24-hour gain that AMBCrypto linked to a 718% jump in trading volume, following an IBM Cloud Catalog listing and a UK taskforce membership.
HBAR reached $0.12576 on Binance, up 30.06% from its daily open of $0.09586, according to crypto.news. The token's daily relative strength index climbed to 81.03, well above the 70 level that marks overbought conditions.
Hedera's NVIDIA-linked AI post draws attention
Hedera said on Sep. 28 that Hedera Council members appeared among the organizations represented in NVIDIA's Open Agent Safety Platform announcement, sharing an image from NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang that also included Accenture and EQTY Lab. According to Hedera: "Great to see Hedera Council representation on the NVIDIA Open Agent Safety Platform" The post did not specify a new NVIDIA deployment on the Hedera network. Instead, it renewed attention to an existing tie: Hedera's Consensus Service already underpins a public-sector case study with Accenture and EQTY Lab, announced in June 2025, with Accenture joining the Hedera Council in April 2026.
Institutional moves compound the rally
AMBCrypto tied the broader move to a string of institutional developments. The Hashgraph Group's IDTrust self-sovereign identity platform was validated and listed on the IBM Cloud Catalog on Sep. 23. Separately, Hedera joined the UK's Wholesale Digital Markets Champion Taskforce. Trading volume reached $619.5 million, a 718% day-on-day increase, according to CoinMarketCap data cited by AMBCrypto. Meanwhile, open interest spiked more than 80% in a day. As a result, the advance pushed HBAR past the $0.107 swing high set in February, a level AMBCrypto called a sign that a bullish recovery is underway.
Liquidation clusters and resistance ahead
On the daily chart, HBAR cleared several marked levels before moving above the $0.12207 Murrey Math resistance. The next marked levels are $0.12817 and $0.13428 if the breakout extends. CoinGlass's 24-hour liquidation heatmap shows the largest remaining cluster below price sits near $0.108, with additional bands near $0.105 and $0.10; an earlier report of more than $260,000 in long liquidations during one hour could not be confirmed by the heatmap itself. AMBCrypto noted the 4-hour session's trading volume was matched in magnitude only by the October 2025 crash, and said swing traders could take profits into the move or wait for a pullback to $0.10 to buy back in.
