HBAR jumped more than 20% in 24 hours, touching $0.1306 before retreating toward $0.118 on heavy volume. The rally coincided with an IBM Cloud Catalog listing for a Hedera-based identity product, while one analyst is eyeing $0.15 as a near-term target.
Hedera's HBAR gained more than 20% in 24 hours, briefly touching $0.1306 before pulling back toward $0.118 as heavy trading accompanied the token's strongest late-September breakout. CoinGecko showed HBAR trading around $0.1178, with a daily range between $0.09629 and $0.1306. Volume stood near $1.47 billion against a market capitalization of approximately $5.16 billion.
Why is HBAR price rising today?
HBAR spent much of the previous week below $0.10 before buyers pushed it toward $0.13. CoinGecko data showed the token trading near $0.0905 on Sept. 23, well below its latest move.
The Hashgraph Group, a Swiss company building enterprise products on Hedera, announced on Sept. 23 that its IDTrust self-sovereign identity platform had been validated and listed on IBM Cloud Catalog. The product uses decentralized identifiers and verifiable credentials anchored on Hedera, targeting what the company calls "Know Your Agent" verification for autonomous software. The Hashgraph Group also said it had qualified for IBM Silver Partner status and signed a global Embedded Solution Agreement, though it disclosed no customer numbers or revenue tied to the listing.
Can HBAR hold above $0.115 after the rally?
The daily chart shows HBAR breaking out from the $0.08 to $0.10 region before reaching close to $0.13. Bollinger Bands have widened sharply, with the upper band near $0.1151 and the middle band around $0.0874.
The Relative Strength Index stands near 74.28, above the 70 overbought threshold and its own moving average around 65.71, signaling how fast the move has been rather than confirming a reversal. Resistance sits between $0.12 and $0.13, while HBAR trades roughly 9% below its $0.1306 session high.
Could HBAR reach $0.15 next?
Analyst Crypto Patel sees the reclaim of the $0.092 to $0.118 zone as the start of a larger move, placing $0.15 as his first upside target, followed by $0.21, $0.33 and eventually $1, with $0.07 invalidating the bullish setup. That higher target remains an analyst projection rather than a confirmed outcome, since it would still require several hundred percent of further gains.
Separately, Canary Capital's U.S. spot HBAR ETF held $47.8 million in assets in July after launching on Nasdaq in October 2025, giving institutions another route into the token beyond spot exchanges. Traders are now watching whether HBAR can defend the $0.115 to $0.118 area it built during the breakout.
