Jacobs has been selected by NVIDIA to deploy a Data Center Digital Twin platform for a large-scale U.S. artificial intelligence research and development facility. The three-year software-as-a-service deal builds on NVIDIA Omniverse libraries and gives facility operators a real-time simulation and monitoring environment.
NVIDIA picked Jacobs (NYSE:J) to build and run a digital twin for one of its AI research and development facilities in the United States, under a three-year software-as-a-service agreement. The platform runs on NVIDIA Omniverse libraries and gives operators a real-time environment to simulate scenarios and track facility performance.
The digital twin brings together engineering models, operational technology and live facility data on a single platform. It supports dynamic power load balancing, energy forecasting, liquid coolant leak detection monitoring, predictive maintenance and operator training.
According to Investing.com, Jacobs Executive Vice President Amer Battikhi said "operators need smarter and more connected ways to optimize performance and manage energy demand". Teams can use the system to model changing AI workloads and understand power availability and cooling performance.
Jacobs said it is developing the digital twin into an operating system for AI facilities, where AI agents learn from facility data to predict conditions and recommend actions. The company is also delivering high-performance computing environments for Hut 8 in the United States, SINES DC Campus by Start Campus in Portugal and PsiQuantum in Australia.
The company reported approximately $12 billion in annual revenue and a workforce of approximately 47,000 employees. It provides services across advanced manufacturing, cities, energy, environmental, life sciences, transportation and water sectors.
