Moca Foundation and Moca Network, an Animoca Brands project, have launched the Moca Chain mainnet, a decentralized network for managing digital identity credentials. The launch targets the cost of verifying users online and the rise of AI agents transacting on their behalf, with more than nine partners including SK Planet and Automobili Lamborghini set to integrate the system in 2026.
A Blockchain for Verified Credentials
Moca Chain lets users carry verified digital credentials across applications without repeatedly handing over the personal information behind them. Organizations can issue credentials covering identity verification and membership status, and users keep custody of those credentials and decide when and where they get shared.
The network runs on a decentralized blockchain that separates verification from data storage. Organizations verify a user once, then issue a tamper-resistant credential tied to a single digital identity, cutting down on the sensitive data companies need to keep in their own systems.
Moca Network says the launch addresses privacy risks tied to more than $100 billion in annual data custody costs, a burden it expects to grow as AI agents increasingly conduct transactions and interact with online services on a user's behalf.
AIR Gives Businesses One Integration Point
The blockchain pairs with AIR, a product that gives businesses a single integration point for onboarding both users and AI agents. Companies can turn existing customer verification checks into credentials on Moca Chain, or accept credentials already issued by trusted third parties.
According to Moca Network CEO Kenneth Shek: "Scalable data sharing is necessary for AI agents to act on behalf of humans", though he said the trust framework for delegation and authority is lacking. He added that AIR is designed to let AI agents perform tasks while users keep control over their own data and permissions.
Partners Line Up for 2026 Integration
Moca Network named more than nine partners set to integrate AIR, including South Korea's SK Planet, ticketing platform Biletinial, gaming marketplace Oyunfor, Open Campus, soccer platform OneFootball, Automobili Lamborghini, Inveo Kripto, Plume, and blockchain analytics firm Nansen.
Yat Siu, co-founder and executive chairman of Animoca Brands, said repeated verification requirements discourage users from moving between competing platforms. He argued the goal is to let individuals hold sovereign ownership of their credentials while giving businesses a way to establish trust without taking on unnecessary data custody.
