NEAR's token price jumped over 11%, moving from around $2.32 to $2.59. The rally comes as its Intents cross-chain infrastructure crossed $27 billion in volume across 34 chains, with open interest and funding data suggesting traders have largely stayed comfortable holding long positions, though the move's timing does not establish that Intents growth caused the price jump.
The move comes as NEAR Intents, the infrastructure that moves assets across chains behind the scenes, crossed $27 billion in volume across 34 different chains. Wallets like Ledger, browsers like Brave, and platforms like Infinex and LI.FI are plugging into it. Zcash can now move into Solana through the same rail, and confidential Hyperliquid perps are extending that infrastructure toward private trading.
NEAR jumped over 11% recently, moving from around $2.32 to $2.59. The Relative Strength Index climbed to 74, overbought territory for the first time since a similar run in May and June. That earlier rally died along with the RSI, but this time the MACD line stayed above the signal line, and the histogram bars kept growing.
On the derivatives side, aggregated open interest on NEAR reached $458 million at press time, climbing since the start of the month after trading sideways. Funding rates stayed mostly positive throughout, near 0.0117 lately, suggesting traders have largely stayed comfortable holding long positions.
The rally's timing lines up with the Intents milestone, but the data does not establish that Intents growth caused the token's move.
