Peter Brandt has reposted the logarithmic Bitcoin chart he first published in June 2019, saying the structure behind Bitcoin's fourth parabolic phase still holds. The repost lands as Bitcoin pushes through $80,000 and tests resistance at $82,000, and analysts say it signals the multi-year bullish trend remains intact.
Peter Brandt, CEO of Factor LLC, has brought back his iconic 2019 logarithmic chart, arguing that Bitcoin's fourth parabolic phase still follows the structure he mapped seven years ago. The repost coincided with Bitcoin's push through $80,000 and a test of resistance at $82,000. Analysts say the veteran trader's move signals that the asset's multi-year bullish trend remains intact.
Brandt's 2019 Chart Once Called $100,000 From $10,000
In the original June 2019 post, Bitcoin was trading near $10,000 when Brandt set a target of $100,000. Drawing on 45 years of experience, Brandt showed that no traditional asset — not Apple, Amazon, Netflix, or gold — matched Bitcoin's cyclical performance. Bitcoin's previous cycles produced gains of 20x, 489x, 42x and 93x, according to the historical data behind the chart.
Institutions, Not Retail, Now Anchor the Trend
The chart returned to attention because of the shape of the current weekly log chart, which shows price compressed near the lower boundary of the historic ascending channel. The pattern resembles a broad accumulation phase. Seven years ago, the parabola ran on speculation and retail sentiment alone. Today, major funds and systematic inflows through spot ETFs support the channel's stability.
Diminishing Returns, but the Trajectory Holds
Because of Bitcoin's much larger market capitalization, the asset will struggle to repeat its earlier 100x-style returns. Even so, the underlying logarithmic trajectory remains unchanged. Brandt's model stays a benchmark for the market, confirming the parabolic scenario as long as the critical support lines hold. The path to new highs will not be linear, but as long as the trend's lower boundary holds, Bitcoin keeps following a pattern with no equivalent elsewhere in finance.
