Ripple has expanded Ripple Treasury with an orchestration layer that works with its AI-focused technology and a feature called 24/7 Returns. The feature could let eligible corporate clients earn returns on qualifying digital assets, including RLUSD, outside traditional hours.
Ripple, the company behind XRP and RLUSD, introduced a major expansion of Ripple Treasury built to help businesses manage cash, liquidity, and payments around the clock. The platform pairs traditional treasury management with AI-powered automation and digital payment rails.
Treasury platform targets global businesses
Ripple announced the new capabilities at Swell 2026. They are designed for global businesses, including American Airlines, Trax, Subway, Adecco, Kingfisher, and Christian Louboutin.
At the center sits an orchestration layer that works with GSmart, Ripple Treasury's AI-focused technology. It automates and coordinates workflows across cash positioning, forecasting, reconciliation, liquidity management, and payments. The goal is to connect financial decision-making directly with execution, so treasury teams rely less on separate systems and manual processes.
24/7 Returns puts idle cash to work
The statement also introduces 24/7 Returns, which could allow eligible corporate customers to earn returns on qualifying digital assets held in a Ripple wallet, including the company's US dollar-backed stablecoin. Businesses could therefore put operating cash to work overnight, on weekends, and on holidays without managing the underlying digital asset transactions themselves.
Ripple cited the 2026 AFP Liquidity Survey, which shows 46% of organizations increased their US cash reserves over the past year. Ripple said 86% of treasury professionals would choose real-time money market funds if those products met their investment policies.
RLUSD adds banking ties
Ripple launched RLUSD less than two years ago, and the stablecoin now has a market cap of over $2.5 billion. Last week, Cross River Bank said it would integrate RLUSD into its banking infrastructure.
The integration would let eligible businesses move between dollars and the stablecoin, process cross-border payments, and manage treasury transfers through a single API connection.
