Securitize plans to add Stellar as the 17th blockchain it supports for institutional tokenized assets. The companies have not named a launch product, partner or completion date.
Securitize plans to make Stellar its 17th supported blockchain, giving institutional asset managers another network for issuing and managing regulated financial products. The company serves institutions such as BlackRock, Apollo and Hamilton Lane.
The agreement was unveiled during Meridian 2026, the Stellar Development Foundation's two-day conference in Lisbon, Portugal. Securitize described it as a planned expansion, so it does not establish that existing tokenized funds or equities have moved onto Stellar.
Securitize plans regulated issuance on Stellar
The integration is intended to let asset managers issue, administer and transfer tokenized financial instruments through Stellar while using Securitize's securities infrastructure. Securitize is a provider of tokenization services for financial products.
Crypto Briefing reports that Stellar's pitch centers on built-in compliance features, including native controls for know-your-customer checks, asset clawbacks and sanctions enforcement. Securitize's CEO Carlos Domingo said Stellar has developed what the company considers the fourth-largest ecosystem for tokenized real-world assets.
Stellar's tokenized asset base grows
Stellar already hosts products from established institutions, including Franklin Templeton's tokenized U.S. Government Money Fund, which began operating on the network in 2021.
An August assessment found that Stellar's real-world asset value climbed from approximately $785 million in January to more than $3 billion by July, according to RedStone research. The same research found that Blend lending pools accepting such assets held just over $2 million, so issuance growth and decentralized lending adoption remained separate measures.
Timeline and products remain open
As of September 30, Securitize reported approximately $5 billion in tokenized securities on its platform. That figure covers its whole operation, not tokens already issued through Stellar.
The company has not named any asset manager committed to using the Stellar connection or identified the first securities it expects to support. Its forward-looking disclosures warn that implementation could be delayed, changed or left incomplete because of technical, regulatory or commercial conditions.
