Solana's Real Economic Value has climbed to its highest weekly level since January, reversing a months-long decline that followed the cooldown of memecoin trading. Daily revenue, transaction counts, stablecoin supply, and real-world asset value on the network all climbed alongside it.
Solana's Real Economic Value, the metric tracking what the network earns from transaction fees across its ecosystem, just hit its highest weekly level since January. The rebound follows a stretch of declining revenue after memecoin activity on the network cooled off.
Revenue and usage climb together
Solana's daily revenue crossed $1 million on August 19, the highest single-day revenue output in six months. Daily average application fees during September also reached levels not seen since January, pointing to a sustained trend rather than a one-day spike.
The network processed 5.2 billion non-vote transactions in August alone, a figure that surpassed all other Layer 1 and Layer 2 networks combined over the same period. Non-vote transactions represent actual user activity rather than validator housekeeping.
Stablecoin supply on Solana also hit an all-time high of roughly $17.63 billion in August. The network's real-world asset ecosystem, including tokenized treasuries and private credit, pushed past $4 billion in value.
From memecoin peak to revenue rebound
Monthly REV peaked at $551.6 million in January 2025, driven almost entirely by memecoin activity. Quarterly REV then collapsed to $51 million by Q2 2026.
July marked the turn: Solana reclaimed the top spot for daily REV among all blockchains after four months at lower rankings. That month, it also held 16.5% of all tracked protocol fees.
Faster slots, a bigger role for fees
Slot times on the network have dropped to an average of 250 to 300 milliseconds. A governance vote in August targeted doubling the network's disinflation rate, meaning validators would increasingly rely on transaction fees rather than newly minted tokens for their income.
Figures within the Solana Foundation have publicly signaled that revenue metrics are becoming the primary lens through which the ecosystem evaluates its own success.
