Stifel raised its price target on Microsoft to $530 from $450 while keeping a Hold rating, citing accelerating momentum for the company's M365 Copilot product. Investor meetings with Microsoft executives this week covered monetization strategy and capital spending on AI infrastructure.

Stifel analyst Brad Reback raised the firm's price target on Microsoft to $530 from $450, while maintaining a Hold rating on the stock. The shares trade at $510, giving Microsoft a market capitalization of $3.79 trillion. Wall Street's consensus rating remains "Buy," with targets ranging from $400 to $870.

Reback cited accelerating momentum for Microsoft's M365 Copilot product as customer proof-of-concept work transitions into full-scale deployments. That optimism aligns with Microsoft's fundamentals: the company posted 17.79% revenue growth over the last twelve months.

Investor meetings shape the outlook

Investor meetings at Microsoft earlier this week included Bill Duff, CVP & CFO Commercial, and Mat McBride, EVP & CFO Commercial Products & Infrastructure. Management discussed the company's commitment to model-choice to ensure optimal financial returns.

Microsoft is implementing a seat-plus-consumption monetization model, with outcome-based pricing unlikely near term. The company emphasized its focus on protecting customer business intellectual property, and it plans to stay opportunistic on pricing in product areas where it holds unique offerings.

Capital spending and other analyst calls

Management said it remains focused on delivering acceptable returns on ramping capital expenditure investments and on driving data center efficiencies to unlock incremental capacity for quick monetization. The comments follow a separate update in which Microsoft restructured its segment reporting for fiscal year 2027, consolidating three segments into two and providing restated historical financial data.

KeyBanc has reiterated an Overweight rating with a $600 price target following the restatement. BofA Securities raised its own target to $600, pointing to Azure's accelerated growth in the fourth quarter of fiscal 2026. Azure's growth rate increased to 43% from 39% the prior quarter. Guidance is now set at 45% for the first quarter of fiscal 2027.
