Strive bought 6,182 bitcoin for approximately $511.4 million, its largest purchase to date, lifting its holdings to 43,000 BTC. The buying followed an upsized preferred-stock offering and a $1 billion at-the-market programme.
Strive bought 6,182 bitcoin between October 17 and October 23 at an all-in average price of about $82,732 per coin, according to an October 26 Form 8-K filing. The purchase raised the company's balance to 43,000 BTC, from 36,818 BTC reported a week earlier.
Largest purchase lifts holdings by nearly 17%
BitcoinTreasuries.net put the total cost at approximately $511.4 million and described it as Strive's largest bitcoin acquisition so far. The coins raised holdings by nearly 17% from the 36,818 BTC the company held on October 16.
The average price is inclusive of fees and expenses, so it covers the cost of executing the purchases rather than only a quoted market price. However, the filing gives only the October 17–23 window, not individual purchase dates or amounts within it.
Preferred stock and a $1 billion programme
The acquisition followed an upsized preferred-stock offering, according to CoinDesk. CoinDesk also reported that Strive had established a $1 billion at-the-market programme for its SATS preferred stock.
Neither the CoinDesk report nor the filing, however, links a particular financing source to the 6,182 BTC bought in the October window. The financing developments were separate reported events, not a confirmed use-of-proceeds schedule.
Cash balance also rises
Strive's cash and cash equivalents rose by $186.9 million over the same interval, reaching $504.4 million on October 23 from October 16. The filing also recorded that the fair value of its Strategy STRC preferred stock holdings increased by $828,000 to $50.177 million during that period.
The figures do not show the sequence of cash inflows and outflows, nor do they attribute the cash increase to a single transaction.
