Seaport reiterated its sell rating on Nvidia on Friday, citing TSMC capacity limits, while Bank of America raised its Advanced Micro Devices price target to $720. Deutsche Bank lifted its Meta target to $820 and stuck with buy ratings on Tesla and Meta, and Bernstein flagged margin concerns on Apple.
Nvidia's skeptics stand firm
Seaport kept its sell rating on Nvidia, arguing the chipmaker has no easy way to surprise to the upside because it is limited by TSMC capacity and "the law of large numbers". According to Seaport: "We remain cautious on Nvidia". The firm said competition is growing to the point that Nvidia is now leaning on its balance sheet and product bundling to drive numbers.
AMD's bulls raise their target
Bank of America reiterated AMD as its top CPU pick and raised its price target to $720 from $620, citing higher CPU average selling prices tied to agentic workloads.
Tesla holds steady, Meta's target climbs
Deutsche Bank reiterated its buy rating on Tesla, noting that third-quarter deliveries are tracking softer than expected but that it does not expect the stock to move far outside recent extremes.
The firm also reiterated Meta as a buy and raised its price target to $820 per share from $750, pointing to strong traction for the company's Muse AI product.
Apple's margins draw scrutiny
Bernstein reiterated Apple as outperform but flagged rising costs, saying Apple's recent product release didn't disappoint, though concerns linger over what higher memory costs mean for gross margins in the December quarter.
