XRP was the only major spot crypto ETF category to post net inflows on September 8, while Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, and Hyperliquid products all saw withdrawals. The token drew about $1.55 million even as Bitcoin ETFs snapped a three-day inflow streak.
XRP reaches breakthrough threshold
According to the most recent spot ETF data from September 8, net inflows for XRP products were about $1.55 million. The amount is modest in absolute terms, but it stands out against rival assets.
Bitcoin ETFs ended a three-day inflow streak with net outflows of $46.65 million. Ethereum followed with $24.29 million in outflows from spot products. Hyperliquid ETFs saw $12.96 million in withdrawals. Solana reported a smaller $667,720 outflow. As a result, XRP was the only asset among the five with positive daily flows.
The broader picture still leans positive. Five U.S. spot XRP ETFs hold net assets of about $1.51 billion and cumulative net inflows of about $1.69 billion. In the past 30 days, XRP products have brought in about $173 million.
Is XRP in pre-breakout territory?
Compared with the underlying market, the divergence becomes especially intriguing. Following its August breakout, XRP is trading between $1.39 and $1.40 and remains above its long-term moving average at $1.35. Buyers have so far avoided a full reversal toward pre-breakout levels, even as the initial rally has cooled.
Bitcoin's ETF flows have turned negative for the day, yet the asset is consolidating around $79,000 following its recent recovery. Despite its own outflow, HYPE remains near its recent high of $86, while SOL is holding around $104 after its push toward $110.
Still, a single session should not be read as proof that institutional capital is shifting firmly toward XRP. Bitcoin's total ETF inflows sit at about $55.59 billion, far above XRP's cumulative total. If inflows continue while Bitcoin, Solana, and Hyperliquid products struggle to draw capital, the divergence could point to relatively higher institutional demand for XRP. XRP has won the daily ETF flow comparison as the only asset among the five with positive net inflows.
