Several earnings calendars still list the wrong day for Nvidia’s next report. TipRanks shows November 25 and MarketBeat estimates November 18, but Nvidia’s own investor relations team named the date on its last call: Tuesday, November 17, 2026, after the US market close, for fiscal Q3 2027. The company has guided to about $108 billion in revenue for the quarter, and the stock’s reaction will hinge on what it says about Q4.
That last part matters more than usual this time. Nvidia has told investors its gross margin will dip in Q4 because memory chips cost more, so a clean beat on Q3 may not be the number that sets the price on November 18.
Next Nvidia earnings date
At the end of the August 26 earnings call, Nvidia’s IR head said the call “to discuss the results of our third quarter of fiscal 2027 is scheduled for November 17.” Nvidia usually follows up with a formal press release about three weeks ahead; for the same quarter last year it published one on October 29, 2025. Until that release appears on nvidianews.nvidia.com, treat the call time as expected rather than confirmed.

A Tuesday report breaks Nvidia’s habit. Each of its last four results came out on a Wednesday, which is probably why some calendars inferred November 18.
What time does Nvidia report earnings?
The numbers land shortly after the close, and the call follows about an hour later. The first reaction therefore plays out in after-hours trading, where volume is thin and the price can swing both ways before the guidance is discussed. US clocks go back on November 1, so New York will be on standard time (UTC−5) on report day.

Nvidia earnings calendar: past and upcoming dates
Nvidia has beaten the EPS consensus in each of the last four quarters. The stock fell after three of them.
| Quarter | Report date | Revenue | Non-GAAP EPS vs consensus | Stock reaction |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Q3 FY2026 | Wed, Nov 19, 2025 | $57.0bn, +62% | $1.30 vs $1.23 | −3.2% |
| Q4 FY2026 | Wed, Feb 25, 2026 | $68.1bn, +73% | $1.62 vs $1.54 | −5.5% |
| Q1 FY2027 | Wed, May 20, 2026 | $81.6bn, +85% | $1.87 vs $1.76 | −1.8% |
| Q2 FY2027 | Wed, Aug 26, 2026 | $96.2bn, +106% | $2.22 vs $2.09 | +8.7% |
| Q3 FY2027 | Tue, Nov 17, 2026 (named on the August call) | Due | Due | |
| Q4 FY2027 | Not announced | Last year’s Q4 report came on Wednesday, February 25 | ||
Revenue and EPS come from Nvidia’s earnings releases filed with the SEC (Q3 FY2026, Q4 FY2026, Q1 FY2027, Q2 FY2027). Consensus figures are from MarketBeat. Reactions are the change from the close before the report to the close after it, as listed by TipRanks; other outlets round them slightly differently.
One comparison trap: from Q1 FY2027 onward, Nvidia counts stock-based compensation as an expense in its non-GAAP figures. Older quarters exclude it. Some data sites mix the two bases, which is one reason EPS estimates for the coming quarter vary so much between them. The GAAP vs non-GAAP entry explains the difference.
Q3 guidance vs consensus
Nvidia guides one quarter ahead, and in recent quarters the Street has treated that guide as a floor.
| Benchmark | Revenue | Gross margin | Non-GAAP EPS |
|---|---|---|---|
| Nvidia guidance (Aug 26, 2026) | $108.0bn ±2% ($105.8bn to $110.2bn) | 74.0% ±50 bp, GAAP and non-GAAP | Not guided |
| TipRanks consensus (Oct 20, 2026) | n/a | n/a | $2.47 |
| Q2 FY2027 actual, for comparison | $96.2bn | 75.0% | $2.22 |
The pattern of the last three reports is clear. Q4 FY2026 revenue came in at $68.1bn against a $65.0bn guide, Q1 FY2027 at $81.6bn against $78.0bn, and Q2 at $96.2bn against $91.0bn. That is 5% to 6% above the midpoint each time. Repeat it and Q3 lands near $113bn, so the market will read anything close to $108bn as a disappointment, whatever the headline says about a beat.
Aggregators also disagree on the consensus estimate itself. MarketBeat’s Q3 revenue figure of $103.5bn sits below the bottom of Nvidia’s guidance range, a sign that some of its four estimates predate the August report. Check the date on any consensus figure before using it as a bar.
Other guided items for Q3: non-GAAP operating expenses of about $9.0bn and a tax rate of 16% to 18% for the full fiscal year. As before, the outlook assumes no data center compute revenue from China.
What could move Nvidia stock on November 17
The Q4 margin trough
This is the number most likely to set the tone. On the August call, CFO Colette Kress said memory price increases had “exceeded our prior expectations” and reset the margin path: 74% in Q3, a bottom of 71% to 72% in Q4, then 72% to 73% in fiscal 2028 as price increases Nvidia has already made take effect. The market has had three months to absorb that. If the Q4 guide shows a trough deeper than 71%, or no sign of recovery, expect the gross margin line to outweigh the revenue beat.
Vera Rubin’s share of data center revenue
Kress said Vera Rubin, the platform that follows Blackwell, would account for “about 20% of data center revenue in Q3.” That share is the first hard read on how fast the transition is going. A figure well below 20% would raise questions about supply; one well above it would support the hyperscale reacceleration Nvidia promised for Q4.
The fiscal 2028 growth figure
In August Nvidia did something it had never done: it gave a preliminary outlook a full year ahead, roughly 70% revenue growth in fiscal 2028, and called it “supply-constrained.” Management told analysts that “our demand is much greater than 70%.” Analysts surveyed by LSEG had expected about 44% growth, according to CNBC, and the outlook drove the 8.7% rally the next day. Any change to that 70%, in either direction, will move the stock faster than the Q3 results.
China
Nvidia shipped less than 1% of its data center revenue in Q2 as H200-class products to China under US licenses, and its outlook includes none. On October 20, Reuters reported, citing unnamed sources, that ByteDance, Alibaba and Tencent had ordered more than $35bn of RTX PRO 5500 cards, an export-compliant workstation design, with commercial deliveries starting in early 2027. Nvidia has not announced the orders. Expect an analyst question on the call; a confident answer could add a revenue line the current guide does not include.
Customer financing and payment terms
Days sales outstanding rose to 60 in Q2 because some large customers extended payment terms, according to the call. Nvidia has also invested nearly $50bn in AI labs that buy its hardware. Neither is a problem while demand outruns supply, but both feed the “circular financing” argument that bears use against the stock. A further rise in receivables would give that argument a number.
Hyperscaler capex
Kress said the top five hyperscale customers would spend nearly $800bn on capex in 2026 and $1.3tn in 2027. Those customers report before Nvidia does: see the Meta earnings and Alphabet earnings pages for their dates. A capex cut from any of them in late October would reach Nvidia’s share price well before November 17.
How Nvidia stock has reacted to earnings
For two years, options traders overpriced Nvidia’s earnings move. Ahead of the August report, ORATS founder Matt Amberson told MarketWatch the stock had moved less than options implied after eight consecutive reports, and ORATS data put the August implied move at 5.4%, the lowest since 2021 and below the stock’s 7.4% average move over the previous 12 quarters. The actual move was +8.7%. The streak ended on the one report where options priced the least risk.
| Report | Implied move (ORATS) | Actual close-to-close move |
|---|---|---|
| May 20, 2026 | 6.5% | −1.8% |
| Aug 26, 2026 | 5.4% | +8.7% |
The implied move for November will not be meaningful until the weekly options that expire after the report are trading, so check the at-the-money straddle on November 16 or 17. Two other habits of this stock are worth knowing:
- The first after-hours print often reverses. In August the shares were down almost 2% just after the release and up nearly 4% about an hour later, XTB reported, once the call turned to guidance.
- The selling can run past day one. After the February report the stock closed 5.5% lower on February 26 and fell another 4.2% on February 27.
The effect on the Nasdaq 100 and S&P 500
Nvidia is one of the heaviest weights in both benchmarks, so a large move in the stock shows up in both indices the next morning, even when most other members are flat. The Nasdaq price and S&P 500 price pages show the live index levels. The report also lands late in the season, after most chip peers: Intel reports in late October and AMD in early November. How earnings season affects stock indices covers the mechanics.
How to prepare for the Nvidia earnings release
- Confirm the time. Watch for Nvidia’s formal conference-call release, likely in late October. If the date shifts, every time zone in the table above shifts with it.
- Write down your bars before the numbers arrive: revenue against $108bn and against the roughly $113bn a typical beat implies, Q3 gross margin against 74%, the Q4 revenue guide, the Q4 margin against 71% to 72%, and whether the fiscal 2028 growth figure is still about 70%.
- Read the CFO commentary first. Nvidia posts it alongside the press release, and it contains the guidance. In August the guidance, not the quarter, set the direction.
- Decide in advance whether you hold through the release. Holding means accepting a price gap at the next open, and a stop loss will not fill at its level if the price jumps past it. Waiting means trading on November 18 with the numbers known.
- Size for the move, not the forecast. Over the last four reports the closing moves ranged from 1.8% to 8.7%. Check that the position can absorb the larger figure against you.

When is Nvidia's next earnings date?
Nvidia's investor relations team said on the August 26, 2026 call that the fiscal Q3 2027 earnings call is scheduled for Tuesday, November 17, 2026. Results come out after the US market close, and the first full trading session to react is Wednesday, November 18.
What time does Nvidia release earnings?
Nvidia publishes results shortly after the 4:00 p.m. ET Nasdaq close and usually holds its conference call at 5:00 p.m. ET (2:00 p.m. PT). On November 17, 2026 that is 21:00 and 22:00 UTC, or 02:30 and 03:30 IST on November 18.
What revenue has Nvidia guided for Q3 fiscal 2027?
Nvidia guided Q3 fiscal 2027 revenue to $108.0 billion, plus or minus 2%, with GAAP and non-GAAP gross margins of 74.0%, plus or minus 50 basis points. The outlook assumes no data center compute revenue from China.
Why does Nvidia stock sometimes fall after beating earnings?
The stock trades on the next quarter's guidance more than on the reported quarter. Nvidia beat EPS consensus in each of its last four reports, yet the shares fell after three of them, and rose 8.7% only after the August 2026 report raised the longer-term growth outlook.
How much does Nvidia stock usually move after earnings?
Over the last four reports the close-to-close move ranged from 1.8% to 8.7%, according to TipRanks data. Before the August 2026 report, options implied a 5.4% move, while the stock's average move over the previous 12 quarters was 7.4%, according to ORATS.
